Questions Maryland homeowners ask us
Carpet or luxury vinyl for a basement?
Luxury vinyl plank. It’s waterproof, so a damp slab or a minor leak won’t ruin it, and it’s warmer underfoot than tile. Carpet works in a dry, finished basement with a good vapor barrier; we’ll check the slab’s moisture before recommending it.
Can you refinish existing hardwood?
Yes. Solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished several times; engineered floors once or twice depending on the wear layer. We’ll tell you which you have and whether refinishing or replacement is the better value.
How long does an install take?
Most rooms are done in a day. A whole-house carpet job or a hardwood install with acclimation time runs two to four days. We give you a schedule before we start.
Do you move furniture?
Yes. Our installers move and reset furniture and remove and haul away the old flooring. Just clear the small items and anything fragile.
