Luxury Vinyl Plank and Laminate Flooring in Baltimore and Maryland

Waterproof, kid- and pet-proof, and it looks like wood at a lower cost. The most popular floor we install.

Who it suits

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and laminate have taken over kitchens, basements, rentals and busy family rooms across Maryland, and for good reason: they shrug off spills, dog nails and dropped pans, they go in fast, and the better lines are hard to tell from real wood at a glance. Carpets Etc. carries rigid-core and glue-down vinyl in wood and stone looks, plus water-resistant laminate for rooms that want a bit more warmth underfoot.

LVP is fully waterproof, which makes it our first recommendation for basements and any room that has flooded before. Laminate is harder to scratch and a little cheaper, and today’s water-resistant cores handle normal kitchen life.

We flatten and prep the subfloor, cut around every door jamb and transition, and finish with matching trim so it looks built-in, not laid over.

Questions Maryland homeowners ask us

Yes. The plank itself is impervious to water; a flood still needs to be dried underneath, but the floor usually survives.

Vinyl for basements, baths and anywhere wet; laminate where you want more scratch resistance and a slightly firmer feel.

Often, yes, over flat tile, vinyl or wood. We check flatness and moisture first.
